| Amber-guity: This
young male was part of a small group of two males and three females. In Kenya there are so
many “tourist vans” the animals have come to think of them as another species of
animal. As long as you do not extend outside the vehicle, the animals leave you
alone--except this guy. These were the first lions we encountered. With all our excitement
over the find and with all the noise that was being made, he kept bluffing as though he
was going to charge because we were intruding on his mid-day nap. He kept things exciting,
but not as exciting as the charging rogue bull elephant. I miss Africa!
